Gambler's fallacy

Is the fallacy of assuming that short term deviations from probability will be corrected in the short term

Slippery slope

The link between the conclusion and the premises depends on the claim that a certain event or situation will initiate a more or less long chain of events leading to some undesirable consequences and when there is not sufficient reason to think that the chain of events will actually take place

Ambiguity equivocation

An equivocation trades upon the use of an ambiguous word or phrase in one of its meanings in one of the propositions of an argument but also in another of its meanings in a second proposition

Questionable analogy

This occurs in inductive arguments from analogy when the analogy between two things is not strong enough to support the conclusion

Irrelevant reason (red herring)

This happens when the premises of an argument lead or seem to lead to one conclusion and then a completely different conclusion is drawn

Ad hominem (abusive, circumstantial, tu quoque)

The arguer attacks his/her apponeets character
