Fuel dump procedures |
1. Crew - ALERT.
2. Communications - set all LPCAPS to ICS. Transmit intentions and advise of radio silence during dumping.
3. HF - manual mode.
4. ECS - OFF.
CAUTION: after securing the fuel dump switch, ensure that dumping has stopped. If it does not secure pull CB Fuel Dump Pump #1 and #2 and Fuel Dump Control.
5. Fuel dump switch - FUEL DUMP.
6. Monitor fuel gauges EICAS and CDU.
7. When desired fuel is dumped, Fuel dump switch - OFF.
WARNING: at fuel levels of 300lbs or less in either main tank, fuel starvation may occur when balanced flight is not maintained and/or pitch attitudes exceed 15 degrees nose up or nose down. |
