Epinephrine
Trade/Generic Names: Adrenalin®
Class: Sympathomimetic
Action:Increases HR, contractility, vascular resistance, BP, automaticity, heart's electrical activity. Bronchodilation, antagonizes effects of histamine.
Indications: Anaphylaxis, Asthma, Cardiac arrest, hypotension, bradycardia
Contraindication: Pulmonary edema and tachydysrhythmias
Dosage: Adult: 1mg 1:10 000 IV push q 3-5 min, follow w/20ml IV flush
Route:IV, IM, SQ, Inhaler, Nebulizer
