Jesus was concerned that members of the New Testament Church would be deceived by false prophets and false christs. He wanted to describe the tumultuous times they would be living in so they would not be shocked nor taken by surprise. List the troubling events they would see and experience.

As you know, the Abomination of Desolation in New Testament times were the Roman Legions sent to crush the Jewish rebellion of AD 66-70. They ultimately marched to the gates of Jerusalem, where they planned to conquer the city and destroy the rebellion. The Savior had important counsel for Church members living in Judea and Jerusalem. What was the counsel to those living in Judea (the region where Jerusalem was located)?
To flee to the mountains and not take anything out of his house
What was the counsel for those living in Jerusalem when they saw the Abomination of Desolation? Verse 14 and 15 - list two

The Abomination of Desolation in the latter days will be war and desolation, which will be prevalent just prior to the Second Coming. What was the Savior’s counsel to those living in these trying times? Note verse 37
. Those that treasure up gods word won’t be decieved, the son of man will come and will send his angels before him and they will gather the remainder of his elect from the four winds from one end of heaven to the other.
