a treatment referral program for individuals or families in need of counseling assistance outside the purview of this Departmnet
ie drug/alcohol abuse, mental health related issues, the lonely and confused, etc. UMOS responding to aided cases encountering such individuals or families are directed to give them a LIFENET INFORMATION CARD. LifeNet is not to be used as an alternative method of handling epd's who may pose a danger to themselves or others. |

Once the situation is under control the UMOS will request ID, including name, addres, and record information in A/L and details section of AIDED REPORT WORKSHEET. Determination regarding removel procedures via ambulance, Medivac, etc will be determined by EMS personnel. |

notifications will not be made to relatives/friends of an inmate who dies in a Dept of Correction facility , unless requested to do so by Correction Supervisor "IN CHARGE OF FACILITY" as per PG 216-16 (Suspicious Death or Suicide in Dept of Correction Facility) but in PG 216-15 (notifications) you merely need be requested by Correction supervisor in charge, but enter guy in charge of facility on back of aided card. anal??probably

Fri 0900-1700 (9-5) off weekends and holidays (of course) NYPD does removals all other times if subj is non-cooperative or violent sheriff wil request NYPD ---->EDP procedures |

MAYBE clinician dosen't contact/respond to pct w/in 1 hr MAYBE subject is brought to a different hosp than listed on kendra's removal order and is ADMITTED at this different hosp not mentioned in order note:the I card says to contact Ops for further info (or at least that's what should've been entered) NOTE: in Kendra's (Mental hygiene law) ops and the boro get notified (but only for the first two, [disp/late]) and PS requests ambulance if subjct is present and a detailed Comm Log entry is mentioned in kendra's |

Patrol Supervisor considers whether a search of th eimmediate area would be fruitful.
PS will have pct records and Dept computerized databases checked to see if subj has had any interaction w/ poice (arrested, aided, 53, etc) note:it doesn't say for the PS to have the det squad do this, just for the PS to have it done. all the det squad does is drop an I card after being notified by the PS if it's belived that the subject may frequent transit system PS will have appropriate Trans District and Trans Bureau Homelss Outreach notified |

if he's admitted "NYPD personnel will no longer be required to accompany the patient" assigned member notifies the desk that subj is admitted, desk officer notifies OPERATIONS AND AND AND the boro. Ops notifies AOT team who gets the order vacated
if he's JUST TREATED in a different hospital than the one mentioned in the order when UMOS is informed by hosp that he's (subject) is ready to be transported, assigned UMOS will notify the desk officer. desk officer will notify EMS to respond to hosp for a kendra's removal |
