fever, tachycardia, hypotension, decreased cardiac & urine output, agitation, extreme thirst
Hypokalemia
< 3.5 mmol
increased K excretion, lasix diarrhea, type 1 diabetes
increased aldosterone, cortisol, nephrotic syndrome
decreased K: anorexia, NPO
