Do not leave any of it till morning; if some is left till morning, you must burn it. This is how you are to eat it: with your cloak tucked into your belt, your staff in your hand. Eat it in haste; it is the Lord's Passover. On that same night I will pass through Egypt and strike down every firstborn of both people and animals, and I will bring judgement on all the gods of Egypt. I am the Lord. The blood will be a sign for you on the houses where you are, and when I see the blood, I will pass over you. No destruction plague will touch you when I strike Egypt.

Exodus 12: 10-14

The Passover is an important regulation law in order for us to enter the Kingdom of heaven. So the Bible teaches the Passover is not only to be kept in the OT but also in NT. First, let's see who commanded to keep the Passover in the Old Testament ?

On the first day of the Festival of Unleavened Bread the disciples came to Jesus and asked, where do you want us to make preparations for you to eat the Passover? He replied, Go into the city to a certain man as and tell him, The Teacher says: My appointed time is near. I am going to celebrate the Passover with my disciples at your house. So the disciples did as Jesus had directed them and prepared the Passover.

Matthew 26 17-19

It was the Lord God Jehovah. And as a result of keeping the Passover they were free from slavery in Egypt and escaped plaques. Let's find out who command us to keep the Passover in the New Testament times.

Jesus said to them, Very truly I tell you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day.

John 6:53-54

In the NT who command to keep the Passover? Let's see thru the Bible why did Jesus command them to keep the Passover?

Then came the day of unleavened Bread on which the Passover lamb had to be sacrificed. Jesus sent Peter and John, saying "Go and make preparations for us to eat the Passover."

Luke:22:7-8

What should we eat to have eternal life? What is the way to eat Jesus flesh and blood?

And he took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying,"this is my body given for you; do this in remembrance of me" In the same way, after the supper he took the cup, saying, "This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which is poured out for you.

Luke 22:19-20

Let's see what they did in the night of the Passover?

He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old older of things has passed away.

Revelation 21:4

Jesus called the bread his flesh and his blood wine. Meaning: the only way to have eternal life is by eating the Passover. So we must partake in the Passover to have eternal life and be freed from sin and death. Then why does God want to give us eternal life? Let's see the type of life we will have if we have eternal life?

Not everyone who says to me, Lord, Lord will enter the Kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Many will say to me on that day, Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles? Then I will tell them plainly, I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!

Matthew 7:21-23

This talks about the Kingdom of heaven. God wants us to go to the Kingdom of heaven where there is eternal joy and happiness, but in order for us to go to heaven we must celebrate the Passover. What about those who don't celebrate the Passover? Can they go to the Kingdom of heaven? Then can we say it is God will to keep the Passover? Then let's see how important it is to follow the will of God.

Not everyone who says to me Lord, Lord, will enter the Kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father.

Repeat verse 21

Is it God's will to keep the Passover or not? Let's celebrate the Passover, which is the will of God and go to heaven.
