What are indefinite pronouns? What are indefinite adjectives? What's the difference? |
Indefinite pronouns are pronouns that are non-specific. Indefinite adjectives are non-specific adjectives. This can look similar, but the difference is its relationship with a noun; An adjective modifies the noun, while a pronoun DEFINES the noun. Often, a noun is unneeded after an indefinite pronoun. Ind. Adj: "please take her SOME lemons"; "ALL personnel in the lobby must remain seated" Ind. Nouns: "please take her SOME"; "ALL must remain seated" |
