So for my gamechanger I decided to do Teen Pregnancy. Now in my interviews I didn't get the most interesting answers, but they were similar. I categorized them into 5 categories, and put Taboo in the middle because my mom and older sister thought it would be impossible to ever become a teen mom. |

Teen Pregnancy has occurred in my family with my older sister Christen. While interviewing her she explains the barriers, struggles, and uncertainty she had to bare. And although she had the support of my mom and her husband to help her, she had to give up all her previous plans and goals because she was now responsible for someone else. So the black and white in this picture represents the grim and not-so-easy journey that awaits a teen mom. I couldn't get an picture of an actual pregnant women,but I thought there would be more effect if I could show how the kids from a teen pregnancy could be neglected. |

Ancestors-2nd Slide |
Becoming a teen mom would be shaming the hard work and and dedication my ancestors had to succeed in this country. If it weren't for my great-grandparents, and grandmother I would not have been born in this country, and had all the commodities I am accustomed to. To others ancestors may not mean much in their daily life, but I maintain a deep respect for them and their struggle because I would want my future children and grandchildren to have respect for me as well. |

Although my family has been in this country for three generations, I consider myself second-generation because my mom was born in Mexico. This identity has always been extremely important because I have felt that I have two show both parts of my Mexican and American culture in order to be completely successful in life. Becoming a teen mom would impede me from doing so because I would be completely busy taking care of a baby. One of the way that I show my culture is by singing Mariachi at cultural events or at hospitals. I feel proud every time I step on stage but as I said before becoming a teen mom would prevent me from doing so. |

Religion has always played an important part of my life. I go to mass almost every sunday, sing in the church choir, and celebrate many religious holidays. Catholicism prohibits sex before marriage, so I have always taken my vow of abstinence extremely seriously. Becoming a teen mom would ruin my chance of getting married in a white dress and in a catholic church. This photo of me with the Virgin Mary shows how close I am or try to be with god. |

My goals are to become a nurse and be able to support my mother financially. The goals I have revolve around my family, and if I can make them happy then I myself will succeed. I have been able to maintain a deep focus on my goals all this time. But becoming a teen mother would create huge barriers and delays in my goals. |
