Dictophyma renale - nematode
giant kidney worm of dogs, complex life cycle. Infection occurs from eating earthworms, raw or undercooked freshwater fish or frogs. Human infection possible. Bipolar eggs are found in urine.

Pathology: causes abortions in cattle

Diagnosis: in abdominal fluid of aborted fetus, uterine discharge swab of prepuce.
