Trophozoite stage, NO cyst
Mechanical transmission during sex
Iatrogenic. Bull-to-bull possible by sharing artificial vagina

Pleomorphic, usually oval, 3 anterior flagella, undulating membrane
Jerky motion, posterior can be pointed

Dx - direct exam/culture, ABI Trich test (DNA)
Tx - no drugs, vax is available (helps clear, does NOT prevent)
Feline trichomoniasis
Trichomonad indistinguishable from T. foetus
Large bowel diarrhea
Shelter cats/cat colonies
Direct contact
Cow pie stools, incr freq
Inflamed anus
Dx - InPouch
