|
ensure water coolers are full and available in kitchen areas.
ensure dak packs are filled with water prior to water prior to the outage and are in the restrooms. all chemical feed and storage areas will be monogoggle required areas. post do not drink signs at all consumption areas. portable eye wash stations or bottles must be kept in lab areas and shops. also wherever maintenance is being performed. any work permits written during this time must include in the special instructions that the water is out. make announcements on the block PA that the potable water is out of service and chemical feed areas are monogoggle required areas. |

What implications does a freeze precaution have on the potable water system?
|
high flow will cause the pressure to drop.

what must happen prior to drinking the potable water once returned to service?
|
Dead end sections should be flushed, do not flush lines with filters because they can become contaminated and will have to be changed. EOB will advise as to length of flush and when system can be used.
