What drug(s) are typically used to treat AD, and whats their MoA?
Corticosteroids (such as 6-methylprednisolone), and a topical emolient.
Corticosteroids inhibit PLA2 (and therefore the arachadonic acid pathway), so no leukotrienes or prostaglandins.
They also inhibit transcription factors which dec's histamine production.
