We must attend to it with diligence, preparation and prayer, receive it in faith and love, lay it up in our hearts and practice it in our lives.

not from any virtue in them or in him that administers them but only by the blessing of Christ and the working of his spirit in those who receive him.

They were specifically instituted by Christ to represent and apply to believers the benefits of the new covenant by visible and outward signs.

A holy ordinance in which immersion in the water in the name of the father, the son, and the Holy Spirit.

The organized society of professing believers of all ages, where the gospel is being preached and baptism and the Lord’s supper is administered in true faith.

The whole number of the elect that have been or shall be gathered into one under Christ.

What is the Lords supper?

The holy ordinance of the church. The eating of bread and drinking of the cup in honor of Christ death. Those that drink and eat in a worth manner partake of Christ body and blood not physically but spiritually.

What is prayer?

Prayer is an offering up of our desires to God for things agreeable to his will in the name of Jesus Christ, with confession of our sin and thankful acknowledgment of his mercies.

What rule has God given for our direction in prayer?

The whole word of God is of use to direct us in prayer but the special rule of direction is the prayer that Christ taught his disciples better known as the Lord’s Prayer.
