1) Standard Precautions 2) perform primary- LOC, Cc, Abcs, expose , determining transport 3) invstg. Cc 4) obtain SAMPLE- OPQRSTI 5) obtain vitals-PUP, LS, RR, BP, HR, SC, BGL, PO, CAPREF 6) focused physical; DCAP- BLS- TIC on area of CC 7) determine protocols allow administration 8) 6 rights; PMRDDD- patient, medication, route, date, dose, document |

9) ensure S&S are in sync w Hypoglycemia & BGL is > 60 mg/dL 10) ensure pt can swallow 11) hold cheek away from mouth and squeeze oral gel into pocket between the gum and the cheek, offer pt to do self if able or use bite stick to squeeze gel onto and stick in back corner of mouth |

12) reasses mental status ( make take 20 mins to improve) 13) reasses BGL 14) reasses and record vitals 15) document meds; Dart- dose, action, route, time & pts response +\- 16) monitor pts condition if Improves; continue o2 monitoring vitals and transport Worsens; cont o2 contact medical direction on/ offline regarding another 15g dose of oral glucose |
