Difference between Arizona and Mexican Pima Indians
Some Pima Indians moved from Mexico to Arizona and started consuming a high fat diet. 50% of their adult population has T2D. The Pima Indians who stayed in Mexico still eat a healthy diet and get more physical activity than those in Arizona. Their adults population only had 6.9% with T2D.
