Relief of moderate to moderately severe pain after c-section

Hydrocodone bitartrate/acetaminophen

Allergy to eggs contraindicated this medication

Influenza vaccine

Mild to moderate pain, given 24hrs after c-section

Ketorolac (Toradol)

Moderate to severe HtN, preg risk C

Labetalol

Used to stimulate uterine contractions or pregnancy termination. cheaper than cervidil

Misoprostol(cytotec)

Dosage for oxytocin

IM or IV, can only go up to 20ml/hr or need to get doc order after, can increase Q30min

Used to tx group B strep (protects baby), may cause burning snd need lower dose

PCN G

PCN g dosage

5 million units X 1 & 3 million units Q4H

Used for acute pain and moderate to severe pain

Percocet

Helps protect against serious infection due to certain bacteria’s (meningitis)

Pneumococcal Vaccine

Dosage for sodium citrate

15-30ml diluted in juice or water

Used for up to 48 hours to delay but to not prevent preterm labor, can prevent or slow contractions, given during tachysystole

Terbutaline

Used for herpes and cytomegalovirus
