Melasma or Chloasma
A band of depressed tissue most commonly seen on abdomen, thighs, buttocks, or breasts due to stretching of the skin.
Striae
A craving for & consumption of nonfood substances such as starch & clay; can result in toxicity or malnutrition
Pica
Post-term
Anything after the 42nd week.
A light tap of the examining finger on the cervix causes the fetus to rise in the amniotic fluid & then rebound to its original position; Occurs @ 16-18 wks
Ballottment
Softening of the cervix in the first trimester of pregnancy; palpated at 8 weeks
