How do triglycerides get into adipocytes?
Lipoprotein Lipase in the vascular epithelium breaks it down to free fatty acids and glycerol so each component can go into the cell and be reconverted to triglycerides for storage. Then the TG are broken down inside the adipocyte so they can be released. latter is facilitated by Hormone sensitive lipase (HSL) which causes lipolysis inside the adipocyte.
