Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)
Routine tasks of daily life, such as bathing, eating, and grooming.
Early Morning Care
Care provided after a person wakes up to prepare him or her for breakfast or early testing or treatment.
Morning (a.m.) Care
Care provided in the morning, to ready the person for the day, such as completion of personal hygiene and grooming activities, and bedmaking.
Afternoon Care
Care that is provided before and after lunch and dinner.
Evening (hour of sleep, hs) Care
Care provided in preparation for sleep.
PRN (as-needed) Care
Personal hygiene care that is provided whenever a patient or resident needs it, throughout the day or night.
