Muscarinic cholenergic receptors
peripheral: reduces local flushing, edema, itching, pain, and inhibits mucous production

CNS: therapeutic levels = depression: slows reaction time, drowsiness, lowers alertness. Overdose = opposite effect (especially in kids)

Musc Chol: helps with motion sickness, nausea, vomiting, but also creates dry mouth & constipation
Adverse effects of H1 antagonists
Sedation of CNS (confusion, fatigue, dizziness, tremors, convulsions) especially in elderly. give with meals to help with this
Intranasal preparations for allergic rhinitis
Azelastine (blocks both production and receptors of histamine)
