Determinants of learning
Consists of learning needs, readiness to learn, and learning styles.
Learning needs
Gaps in knowledge that exist between a desired level of performance and the actual level of performance; what the learner needs or wants to know.
Readiness to learn
The time when the learner is receptive to learning and is willing and able to participate in the learning process; preparedness or willingness to learn.
Learning styles
The manner by which (how) individuals perceive and then process information. Certain characteristics of styles are biological in origin, whereas others are sociologically developed as a result of envrionmental influences.
