Marina– Ben, háblame de tus recuerdos más felices.

Ben–Well, I remember that when I was 9 years old I used to have a really good friend called Daniel.
|
Ben– Bueno, yo me acuerdo que cuando tenía nueve años tenía un amigo muy bueno que se llamaba Daniel.

Ben–And Daniel and I used to spend a lot of time together, we would go everywhere by bicycle, to the river for example, or the village shop, where we bought lots of sweets (candy).
|
Ben–Y Daniel y yo pasábamos mucho tiempo juntos, íbamos a todas partes en bici, por ejemplo al río, o a la tienda del pueblo, donde comprábamos muchas chuches.

Marina–Or sweeties, it’s the same.

Ben–Yes. Sweeties or sweets. And I remember that in the shop there used to be…
really big Fanta bottles, but made of glass. |

Marina–In Spain they used to be of glass too.

Ben–And you? Did you used to go around on bikes a lot with your friends?

Marina–Of course, I used to go around with my brother more than anything. We used to spend nearly every weekend, and the summer, in a house in the country.

Marina–Yes, and my brother and I would bicycle a lot, we used to go to a mountain that is nearby and we used to climb the rocks.

Ben–Well I remember that I used to spend a lot of time (not mucho tiempo) in my tree house.

Ben–In a tree house, yes, made of wood. So we used to play lots in the tree house. I used to love my tree house! It used to be my secret place to get away from my parents! And that’s it, and you Marina, what did you used to do for the holidays when you were young? Where did you used to go with your family?

Marina–Well, for example, in the Christmas holidays, we used to go skiing…

Ben–Well I also used to ski quite a lot with my family, we used to go to the Alps. But in the summer we would go to Cornwall a lot, which is in the South of England, and we used to play a lot on the beach, and I used to make sand castles, we would swim in the sea…
