This flop is good for you you have hit middle set it's dangerous because anybody with a K or Q will be drawing to a straight. But with an Ace your opponent may be inclined to play.

Var 1. We bet he raises .. His most likely hand is AK, AQ, or AT.. so he is semi-bluffing a straight draw, Top pair great kicker. bottom set or top and bottom two pair.. he would be more inclined to trap if he hit top set???
We re-raise 40% call 60% We are trying to balance our play and at the same time get a lot of money in the pot. Varing between them is both good balance and technique.
Var 2. We bet he calls.. On the turn we bet again it may chase him away but our opp is showing an interest in a pot that may cost him his whole stack, we have to continue manuerving towards that goal.
We check he bets.. We raise 80% call 20% This is a pretty standard check-raise but the texture of the flop may trap our opponent for his whole stack.

You act before him on the flop. With our opponent as the preflop aggressor and in position our betting percentages even when we make a hand will be lower than in the previous two sections. When we havew a wreak hand we are much less likely to push the action since he has already told us he has a strong hand. When we have a strong hand we are more inclined to trap. Even so we will still bet, although at a lower rate to balance our play.

Your in good shape with what is likely the best hand. It's unlikely he has more than a few outs so pushing the betting hand isn't required. (we aren't afraid of him hitting so we don't have to bet up). Leading out 30% of the time seems about right.

Raise 70% of the time call 30% As we have seen before a lot of players see this hand as a license to steal. This is a good time to lower the boom on those players.
Var 2. You check he bets you raise he re-raises .. Now we have a totally different situation.... Small hand small pot. The pot is getting very outsized for the strength of your hand. You mostly have to go away here, but call a few as bluff catchers. Fold 70% , call 30%.

Your treys have a reasonable chance of being best here, but your unfavorable position reduces their value.
Even when your ahead you will have difficulty calling any significant raises.Betting less than half the time and calling the rest is prudent.
Variation 1. You bet he raises. .. Fold 100% of the time You can't get a lot of money involved in this hand with this flop. If you call what is your plan for the turn?
Variation 2. You check he bets.. Call 60% of the time fold 40%. You have a pair and need to call one bet a fair percentage of the time. On the turn just wait and see what happens.

A very difficult flop. You have middle pair and a gutshot straight draw. but there is an ace on the board and you are out of position. Your hand isn't strong enough to be very aggressive but the flop may have scared your opponent as well, so yo need to mis in some bets. However I like playing this hand very cautiously so I'll keep the betting % down to 20%.
Variation 1. You bet he raises. Fold 100% of the time. The situation is much too dangerouts to be playing a large pot out of position. Notice that hitting your Jack may simply complete a straight for your opponent. While the strategy here may seem excessively tight to many players this is a hand where you need to cut your losses very early.
Varaition 2. You check he bets. .Raise 10% of the time call 90% The raises are more bluff than semi-bluff and you need to bluff sometimes at a dangerous flop. Randomizing your play here makes sure you are randomizing your bluffs over time. The high call % shows that you shouldn't be willing to folsd

This is a good bluffing hand so our bet percentage gets closer to 50%
Var 1. We bet he raises.. His bet mostly means he has a pair although an ace would beat us as well. Our chance of winning this hand out of position are slim fold 100% of the time.
Variation 2. We check he bets.. Raise 10%, call call 10% fold 80%
The high fold % is dictated by the likliehood that we are just loosing here. The high raise % relative to our calling hands reflects the good bluffing nature of the flop. Without the randomizing strategy we might we might never remember to bluff in situations like thiswhich is obviously a clear error but an easy one to make when your trying to judge each play separately rather than as a part of a well defined strategy.

An open ended straight flush draw is a very strong hand. Exactly how many outs we have is unclear. If our opponents has As,Ks or Q s (as part of a spade flush) and they hit they would have a higher flush) our draws may cost us our entire stack. But that is somewhat unlikely however is a significant amount of money goes into the pot after a 4th spade hits the board it becomes more and more likely. Our highest quality outs are the 7's giving us a jack high straight and the queens giving us a king high straight. (in that respect we are ahead of someone holding AJ). If all our outs were good we would have 15 outs with some possibility that our K is an out as well. Since the value of our flush draw is unclear, probably 12-13 outs is probably a better estimate. (Of course we are assuming we are behind at present which may not be the case). Our hand is strong enough to bet and to bet aggressively. I like to start with 60% bets the checks are just an invitation to a check raise.

We flopped a good hand a pair plus a flush draw the plan is to lead out with some bets while check-raising with some of our other hands.
Variation 1. We check he bets... Raise 60%, call 40% We probably have 14 outs which is good enough for a healthy majority of check-raises. The calls leave our opponent in the dark as to the true nature of our hand.
Variation 2. We bet he raises. .. R-raise 60% of the time call 40%. With the Ace on board the re-raise is misleading. Our opponent is more likely to put us on a good Ace than a flush draw. This is a leveraged bet where a good card on the turn or river could win a huge pot, while a bad card allows us to exit the hand for a minimal cost.

His bet is more likely to be a bluff than in variation number 1. so we increase our raising and calling frequencies somewhat.

The re-raises and calls just serve as bluffs to balance our raises and calls in other situations.
