A brief story avout an interesting, amusing, or strange event.
Anecdote
The repetition of of initial consonant sounds to give emphasis to words, to imitate sounds, and to create musical effects.
Alliteration
A let down; it's the point at which you learn that the story will not turn out the way you"d expected.
Anticlimax
A stanza or poem made up of four lines, usuallly with a definite rhythm and rhyme scheme.
Quatrain
Repetition of consonant sounds other than at the begining of nearby words.
Consonants
A reference to a well-known person, place, event, literary work, or work of art.
Allusion
A songlike poem that tells a story, often one dealing with adventure and romance.
Ballad
A character in the story tells the story.
Narrator
A vocie outside the story narrates.
Thrid-person Narrator
A thrid-person narrator who can tell readers what any character thinks and feels.
Omniscient
This narrator sees the world through one character's eyes ans reveals only that character's thoughts.
