-trmt and management of angina
-pulmonary congestion d/t LV failure
-ongoing ischemic C/P
-Hypertensive emergencies

Nitro Precautions
Primary side effect-hypotension, others include tachycardia, bradycardia, headache, palpitations and syncope.
Nitro Contra
-Viagra in 24-48 hours
-Suspected inferior MI with possible Right ventricle MI
-Hypotension (<90?)
-Extreme bradycardia
-uncorrected hypovolemia
-inadequate cerebral perfusion
-constrictive pericarditis and pericardial tamponade
Nitro Special
-Hypotension may worsen myocardial ischemia. Hypotension usually responds to IV fluids. Establish IV prior to IV
-monitor rhythm, v.s., before, during and after drug
-tablets lose sensitivity after 3-4 months
-Don't shake spray
