As a result, many suffered from burns and rashes; many contracted cancer; the food supplies of Japanese fishing boats were contaminated; the bomb was powerful, blowing away more than estimated; the weather, too changed as a result of NT.

Sims&Diffs between the Vietnamese/Korean Wars
Both North Koreans/Vietnamese had the supplies & pilots of China and Russia. Not many US civilians were concerned with KW because they thought of it as a distant war, but US civilians turned against the Vietnamese War for political and social reasons. The VW was a simple guerrilla warfare war while the KW involved tanks and infantries etc. Both wars involved North and South populations in one way or another. US involvement in both wars was simply done to contain communism, not to destroy or occupy.
Significance of 38th parallel in KW
This is the line in which North/South Korea are divided.
Tet Offensive
The TO was a military campaign during the VW launched by Viet Cong & North Vietnam against SV, the US and allies. Following this, the Viet Cong ceased to be powerful. Also, it convinced the American public that the war was a lost cause and withdrawal was necessary (though a victory for the US).
China+ Korean War
Chinese attacks across the border pushed UN forces back to the South
