Inertia

Tendency of an object to resist change

Law of inertia

Every object in a state of uniform motion tends to remain in that state of motion or rest unless an external force is applied

Laws of force and acceleration

An object with certain velocity maintains that velocity unless a force acts on it to cause acceleration
