Where is the cell body for the trigeminocerebellar system? what modality does it do?
This is in the mesencephalic nucleus.

this is used for non-conscious proprioception.

this is a 1 neuron pathway
where does the trigeminocerebellar system run to? (coming from the mesencephalic nucleus)
(mesencephalic nucleus fibers exit, then return to mesencephalic tract)

trigeminal motor nucleus- jaw jerk reflex

cerebellum- via superior cerebellar peduncle
What modality do the spinocerebellar pathways convey?
these convey non-conscious proprioception
What area does the Posterior spinocerebellar cover?
this is PRG from below L1
Where does the posterior spinocerebellar tract run up from the PRG?
this ascends in the fasciculus gracilis, and then synapses in the ipsilateral dorsal nucleus of clarke.
Where is the 2nd neuron for the posterior spinocerebellar tract found? where does it axon go
this is clark's nucleus. found in the medial portion of the intermediate zone of the spinal cord, from T1-L2.

Its axons stay ipsilateral, and enter the cerebellum via restiform body (mossy fibers)
Where does the cuneocerebellar tract get info from?
the upper limb, C2-T4.
Where do the processes from the primary neuron of the cuneocerebellar tract run?
these ascend in fasciculus cuneatus, and synapse in the cuneate nucleus (on the same side)
Where is the 2nd neuron for the cuneocerebellar tract located?
this is in the lateral cuneate nucleus (in the caudal medulla).

sends fibers into the cerebellum via restiform body
What info does the anterior spinocerebellar tract carry?
this carries PRG from below L1.
the central processes synapse on spinal border cells along the anteriolateral surface of the anterior horn.
Where are the 2nd neurons located for the anterior spinocerebellar tract
the spinal border cells.

there is a double cross.
-cross to form contralateral ASCT, then ascend to Pon/midbrain- then re-cross to enter cerebellum @ that level
What information is carried by the Rostral spinocerebellar tract?
this carried the PRG of the C4-C8 levels. info from upper limb.
where do the primary neurons from the rostral spinocerebellar tract synapse?
these synapse in the spinal cord intermediate zone
Where do all spinocerebellar pathways end up?
these all end up on the ipsilaterall side as the sensation that came in.
IPSILATERAL non-conscious proprioception.
