Tremor, hallucinating, sometimes memory is ok. Which type of dementia?
Lewy body
Investigations for dementia.
Diagnosed clinically by assessment of mental state. Exclusion of rare treatable causes should be considered and blood taken for FBC, liver biochemistry, thyroid function tests and measurement of vitamin B12 and folate.
A brain CT scan should be performed in younger patients or those with an atypical presentation. Also to exclude multiple infarction or a mass lesion.
What type of seizure:

 Muscular jerks or strange sensations in one arm or leg
 Experience strange sensations in any of the senses
 Occasionally pins and needles in one part of the body
 E.g. Jacksonian seizures- jerking movements, beginning in corner of mouth or thumb and index finger, and spreading to involve the limbs on the opposite side of the epileptic focus.
Simple partial
 Olfactory and visual hallucinations
 Feelings of unreality (jamais-vu)
 Deja-vu
Complex partial seizures
