The two stroke types:
BURST- hemorrhagic stroke-blood vessel bursts and bleeds into brain

BLOCK- obstructive stroke- vessel is clogged and blood can't get to certain brain regions.

Arises from the IC. IC gives rise to the ACA, MCA, and PCA.
What are the major components of the posterior circulation?
Arises from the vertebral artery. Vertebrals rise through the transverse processes of cervical vertabrae and give rise to the PICA, Basilar, AICA, and SCA.
