Spinal Cord: Supine. Place finger or toy in child's hand from ulnar to radial side. Infant will grasp stimulus with finger tightly flexed

Brain stem level: Hold upright. Softly bounce infant on feet. this elicits extension of lower legs with plantar flexion of feet.
