Turner gill quitting??

http://www.theomahachannel.com/sports/3970130/detail.html
Husker wide receivers coach Turner Gill has resigned.
Why?

http://www.theomahachannel.com/sports/3970130/detail.html
Gill wants to look for another head coaching job. He thanked the cornhusker fans and has no hard feelings.
Was Gill really fired??

http://www.theomahachannel.com/sports/3970130/detail.html
Actually head coach Bill Callahan and athletic director Steve Pederson begged Gill to stay, but nothing could change his mind.
When did Gill decide to leave Nebraksa?

http://www.theomahachannel.com/sports/3970130/detail.html
Gill told Callahan after the Colorado game, which Nebraska lost, that he was thinking of leaving.
Will Gill look back?? Will he miss Nebraska?

http://www.theomahachannel.com/sports/3970130/detail.html
Yes, actually Gill said the hardest part will be leaving the players, as he teared up, and he sees a bright future for Nebraska.
Turner Gill's record

http://www.theomahachannel.com/sports/3970130/detail.html
Gill was the quarterback for Nebraska from 1980-1983. During 1981-1983 he led the Huskers to a 28-2 record. He coached such standouts as Mike Grant, Tommie Frazer, Brook Berringer and Scott Frost, Bobby Newcomb and Eric Crouch.
He coached and played for Tom Osborne, and his departure cuts the final tie to that era in Nebraska's storied football history.
