Nebbiolo

Nebbiolo parentage is unconfirmed, but it does has some relationship with some other grapes as freisa, nerreto di bario, vespolina, brugnola. It originated in valtellina or piemonte. Grape first appear in print in 1266. High vigor, thin-skinned, early budding, late ripening, susceptible to oidium, resistant to mildew, and botrytis. Loves calcarious marl and sandy soils.

Visual garnet , orange rim variation, moderate concentration, aromas fruit , tart cherries and plumb, mulberry , dried plumb, significant volatile acidity, floral violets , roses, herbal tea leaf, tabacco, bitter root, tree bark, spices licorice, anise , cinnamon , other tar and leather, earth truffle, mushroom, dust , wet earth, oak neutral large cask ( slovenian oak)

Nebbiolo

Structure medium to full body. High tanins elevated acidity, elevated alcohol. Barolo region is a higher nebbilo and barbaresco is the smoother side of it.
