What does section 50-25.1-03 describe?
Persons required and permitted to report child abuse; to whom reported.
Who must report a reasonable suspicion of child abuse, neglect, or death by abuse, neglect?
medical professionals including mental health, dentists, coroner, teachers / school officials, childcare workers, clergy unless spiritual advisor.

When and to whom should suspected (or known) child abuse be reported?
"immediately" cause oral or written reports to be made to the ND department of human services, Children and Family Services Division (Bismark) or their representatives (Cass County Social Services) Rick Van Camp, 2nd Ave.S., Fargo
When must written reports be filed?
Within 48 hours of filing an oral report, if requested to do so by the ND dept of human services or their representative.

Any touching direct or clothed of sexual or intimate parts, or use of body substances on any part of victim, to arouse or satisfy sexual or aggressive desires.

18 years old, or between married persons.

victim less than 15, much more severe punishment, especially if perp is > 21.
Not a crime if sex is consensual, not forced, and older partner is 2 or less years older than minor child.
What aggravates child sexual abuse?
Perp > 21; repeated acts on same child (3 or more); use of force or threats;
within 50 feet of a school.
What penalty for therapists?
Sex with patient or client during any MH service (therapy, evaluation, etc) is a class C felony.
