What are physiotherapies?
Hydrotherapy, medical massage, and/or bodywork, and fitness therapy concerned with the remediation of impairments and disabilities and the promotion of mobility, functional ability, quality of life and movement potential through testing, evaluation, physical intervention carried out by Naturopathist or Naturopathic Therapists (Physiotherapists) and some times by Physical Rehabilitation Assistants.
What is hydrotherapy?
Hydrotherapy, (Hydropathy), involves the use of water for pain-relief and treating illness. The term hydrotherapy itself is synonymous with the term water cure.
What is medical massage?
Medical massage is an evidence based outcome-orientated modality, primarily by the application of specific bodywork treatment protocols targeted to the specific trouble(s) the patient presents with physician's diagnosis and administered after a thorough assessment/evaluation by the medical massage therapist with specific outcomes being the basis for treatment. It has been proven effective by formal studies and thousand of years of practice in complimentary and alternative medicine treating specific and general medical conditions, and is considered by the health consumers and the medical community alike as as excellant investment in medical dollars spent.
What is fitness therapy?
Fitness therapy is a specialized exercise therapy for special population groups and includes graded exercise therapy (GET) as a physical activity that starts very slowly and gradually increases over time.
What is lifestyle medicine?
Lifestyle medicine (LM) is the use of lifestyle interventions in the treatment and management of disease.
Such interventions include:
* Diet (nutrition)
* Exercise
* Stress management
* smoking cessation
