Far West

The people who lived here experienced different climates. The winters here could be very cold in the forests and grasslands, but in other regions, it could be desertlike. Some people here lived in pit houses while others lived in cone-shaped houses.

This is present-day Arizona, New Mexico, Utah and Colorado. The people who lived here made big apartment houses made out of adobe.
