Why did John white believe the colonists of Roanoke Island went with the croatan Island?
The croatan indians were friendly with the settlers and they didnt find a cross or cro on a tree.

The trail of tears is when the government took the cherokee land after gold was discovered in 1828. They passed an act called the indian removal act, which forced the Cherokee to move west of the Mississippi River, to Oklahoma. The Cherokee fought it, and took it to the supreme court, but Andrew Jackson didnt care.
In 1835some of the cherokee signed a treatee that in 2 years, they would be gone.
Some fought it and didnt want to leave. In 1838 7,000 soldiers showed up and forced them to leave their land at gun point. Thats how they got the trail of tears.
What did the Catawba indians call them selves?

lyeye which means people
or Nieye which means real people.
