Muscle tissue

a collection of cells that shorten during contraction and, in doing so, create tension that results in movement of one kind or another

structures that attach muscle to bone, which are composed of large bundles of white, fibrous protein known as collagen: they possess a greater stretching range than ligaments

Skeletal muscles
