Deltoid
A: Abduct shoulder. Anterior fibers: flex shoulder, medially rotate, horizontally adduct. Posterior fibers: extend shoulder, laterally rotate, horizontally abduct.
O: lateral one-third of clavicle, acromion and spine of scapula.
I: Deltoid tuberosity
Trapezius
A: extend head and neck, laterally flex head and neck to same side, rotate head and neck to opposite side, elevate scapula, upwardly rotate scapula.

A: abduct scapula, upwardly rotate scapula, depress scapula, hold medial border of scapula against rib cage
O: external surfaces of upper 8 or 9 ribs
I: Anterior surface of medial border of scapula
Pectoralis Major
A: adduct the shoulder, medially rotate, elevate thorax during forced inhalation. Upper fibers: flex, horizontal adduct. Lower fibers: Extend.
O: Medial half of clavicle, sternum and cartilage of 1st through 6th ribs
I: Crest of greater tubercle.
Pectoralis Minor
A: depress the scapula, abduct the scapula, downwardly rotate.
O: 3rd, 4th and 5th ribs.
I: Medial surface of coracoid process of scapula
Biceps Brachii
A: Flex the elbow, supinate the forearm, flex the shoulder.
O: Short head: coracoid process of scapula. Long head: supraglenoid tubercle of scapula.
I: Tuberosity of the radius and aponeurosis of the biceps brachii
Triceps Brachii
A: Extend elbow. Long head: extend should, adduct shoulder.
O: Long head: Infraglenoid tubercle of the scapula. Lateral head: posterior surface of proximal half of the humerus. Medial head: Posterior surface of distal half of the humerus.
