Acute pneumonia
Many different types of bugs. Most common ones are Mycoplasma pneumoniae, Chlamydia pneumoniae, Strep pneumoniae, Haemophilus influenzae, Mycobacteria tuberculosis, RSV, and influenza virus.
Chronic pneumonia
Many many causes, including environmental. Usually mixed aerobic and anaerobic. Most common bacteria responsible are M. tuberculosis, M. kansasii, and M. avium.
