He wanted to settle Louisiana with thousands of French farmersto rais food for their slaves in the caribbean.
Why did Neopoleon sell Louisiana, and how much did he sell it for?
Because he wasgoing to use the land to feed the slaves, but the slaves revolted and took over the carabbean, so he didnt need the land anymore, so he sold it for only $15 million, which nearly doubled Americas property!

They thought that it was a bad idea beacuse such a big land mass would be hard to govern, but the senate ratified the treaty, and we had Louisiana.

Andrew Jackson invaded Florida with 1700 men and took over Florida. So Spain didnt want to fight, so they signed a treaty saying that Florida was owned by America if we gave them 5 millon, and we did.
