1) Average Speed
speed= distance
-------
time
2) Reference Point
The reference point is a position of an object or objects.
3) Position vs. Time Graphs
On a graph, it will show you if an object is speeding up, slowing down, or moving at a constant speed.
4) Velocity
Velocity is the speed of an object that is in motion.
5) Net Force
Net Force is the overall force acting on an object.
Net Force would be, a dragster is going 10N right while when the person deploys the parachute, the parachute goes 7N left. So the dragster would 3N to the right because the Net Force is acting upon the vehicle and it's parachute.
6) Force
is a push or pull. There is Frictional force, Gravitational Force, Normal Force, Tension Force, Applied Force, Electrical Force, Magnetic Force, Spring Force, and Air Resistance Force.
7) Balanced vs. Unbalanced Forces
A balanced force would be a book on the floor. The reason for that is because there are two forces acting on the book. The first is gravity and the second is known as normal force.
An unbalanced force would be if the book has three forces acting on it. Gravity, Normal force, and Friction.
