Particles

Molecules

Bond type and strength

Molecules are made up of 2 or more atoms bonded together by strong covalent bonds. Have weak bonds between molecules

Melting point

Low melting point due to the weak bonds between the molecules. Only a small amount of heat is required to overcome these bonds and change shape

Hardness

Soft due to the weak intermolecular bonds (bonds between molecules)

Solubility

Soluble in non polar solvents

Conductivity

Do not conduct electricity as there are no free ions or electrons that will carry a charge
