Adherence
Patient choosing to follow guidelines suggested by a health care provider. An adherent patient is defined as one who follows at least 80% of suggested guidelines.
Albumin
Plasma protein. Normal levels are at least 3.5 mg/dL.
Creatinine
Measure of body's protein status. Normally 0.7 to 1.5 mg/dL.
Negative nitrogen balance
