Straight seam (straight stitch) |
Making a straight seam on a machine requires patience and skill. Do not attempt to sew too fast on the machine or your seam may not be very straight. Slow and steady is best. |

Backstitch |
Use the backstitch lever (or button) on the sewing machine to backstitch at the end to reinforce the pieces of fabric |

Turning a corner |
To turn a corner on the sewing machine, you must stop the machine at the point you want to turn. Then, making sure the needle is inside the bobbin case, lift the presser foot lever and turn your fabric a full 90 degrees in the direction that you want to turn. Lower the presser foot lever and continue sewing now that you have turned. |
