Centre of Gravity:
- A point where the entire weight of the object can be considered to act as a single force.
Finding the centre of gravity-Experiment:
- Support the piece freely on a wire passed through a small hole.
- From the wire hang a plumb line to show the vertical.
- Mark the line of the string as the centre of gravity- must lie along it.
- Repeat- from a different hole.
- Centre of gravity is where the two marked lines intersect.
- Check by balancing the piece on the point of a pencil.
SI Units:
1. Mass - kilogram - kg
2. Length - metre -m
3. Time - second - s
4. Temperature - Kelvin- K
5. Electrical current - ampere - A
6. Amount of substance - mole - mol

Kinematics- Definitions:
-Speed: distance per unit time [scalar]
- Displacement: distance moved in a stated direction
- Velocity: displacement per unit time [vector]
