Can you tell us some of your experience |
well when the Cherokee were forced off the land by the Americans and had to walk over 1,000 miles on Indian territory for the relocation, I had to witness a lot of people dying along the trail of tears and once they arrived in the concentration camps, I had to help them out from sickness and disease and even starvation. I had to witness many people died in my arms |

Can you tell us more about the war as you've been in |
I have been part of the Seminole wars the first and the second when the Seminole tribe was defending themselves my husband and many other people died. It was really bad condition with the diseases and sicknesses and many people lost their lives |

After the Seminole wars, where did you go |
after the wars, I went with a Cherokee Indians in Georgia to give them aid. Many were wounded and we're in desperate need of help |

Why is your testimony important |
my testimony is important because I saw very close friends and family members died in front of me. When I was going through the western land, thousands of people died of cold disease starvation and dehydration. The whites marched in my house and kicked me out, they looted my house and didn't give me a chance to take my belongings. Which is also loss of land. no one deserve this and no one should have their houses and lives ripped from them |
