1)Have intubation equip. and O2 ready before administration
2)Monitor 02 sats closely USe with caution in Pts with known glaucoma and elderly pts with Hx of COPD |

Consider reduction of dosage in the elderly and those with renal failure with base order
|

Drug Interactions
|
1)Potentiates the effects of alcohol, narcotics, tranquilizers, barbituates and antidepressants
2)Sedative effects may be antagonized by theophylline |

1mg/1ml, 2mg/2ml, 5mg/1ml vials

1 to 2.5 mg may rpt. in 1mg increments prn; total dose not to exceed 0.1 mg/kg (except with order of sedation assisted intubation
