What is the cause of Urethritis?
It is usually contracted sexually. Neisseria gonorrheae is the most common bacterium. Urethritis not caused by this is called nongonococcal urethritis(NGU), and is the most common sexually transmitted disease.
NGU is usually caused by Chlamydia trachomatis and Ureaplasma urealyticum.

It is an infection of the liver capsule. It may be associated with either chlamydial or gonococcal infection.
What is Lymphogranuloma Venereum?
It is a sexually transmitted disease caused by C. trachomatis, serotypes, L1, L2 AND L3. Genital ulceration is common.
What is Chlamydia psittaci?
It infects more than 130 species of birds, even pet parrots. Humans are infected by inhaling, Chlamydia laden dust from feathers or dried out feces. It is also called Psittacosis.
What is atypical pneumonia?
Pneumonia caused by viruses, Mycoplasma pneumoniae, Chlamydia psittaci and Chlamydia pneumoniae are called atypical, because it is different from a typical bacteria pneumonia caused by Streptococcus pneumoniae.
Patients with atypical pneumonia present with fever, headache and a dry hacking cough without production of yellow sputum.
